Overview:
I was born in the villaje Pitalito Alto from the municipality of El Tablon de Gomez on November 2nd of 1975. When I was 10 years old my parents bought the first terrain in the village Pitalito Alto, where I lived until I was 24. Then I met Ms. Roby Esperanza Narvaez who is now my wife and with whom I built up a beautiful family with my three children.
As an inheritance, my wife received the first piece of land which we have conserved and grown and we called it El Copete. Some years later of hard work, we were able to buy other pieces of land where we planted our first 5 thousand coffee trees that were the base for sustaining my family, which is composed by my wife and my three children, two boys Rubeiro Gomez who is 13 years old and Jider Gomez who is 10 and a girl called Daira Liseth Gomez who is 6 years old.
Nowadays we have three hectares in coffee which we have been renovating along time. Mi biggest wishes are to be able to continue growing coffee and in that way improve my incomes and the quality of my familys life. My dreams are projected on seeing my children professionally realized but always inculcating them the desire for countryside and that they never forget that it was the one that gave us a hand to accomplish our dreams.
With coffee I became a recognized person in the municipality as an example of work, perseverance and unconditional support for my people, for this reason I have won a very important place in the national contest of the Cup of Excellence that was done in the department of Cauca.
