Fazenda Paixao began Paulo Dario's grandfather. After his passing, the farm was divided among the children, and Paulo inherited the property after his own father's death in 2016.
Paulo provided consulting work to small producers and from this his lover for a knowledge of coffee arose. Since 2017 he has been producing coffee and running his farm in a simple manner without employees.
Fazenda Paixao is located in the Mantiqueira de Minas region, in the city of Carmo de Minas, and is a traditional farm in the production of certified organic coffees of high quality. Production of the coffees relies on fertilization techniques, differentiated management, and biological control of pests and diseases. Fazenda Paixao provides beautiful landscapes, being surrounded by native vegetation which preserves pure, crystalline waterways and abundant fauna.
The crops on the farm are at between 1050 and 1220 meters of elevation, with an ideal micro-climate for producing fine coffees.
