The farm EL PROGRESO, belongs to the populated center of HUAYNAPATA, district of YANATILE, province of CALCA, region of CUSCO at 2050msl. Back in the year 1975 we bought the land where we decide were ideal to plant coffee because of the altitude and weather. Together with the coffee we try to diversify with fruit trees and vegetables.
I am 71 year old coffee farmer, our farm is worked and managed with my family and together with my wife and kids we do all the job, I am constantly learning from the different training the organizations offer to us in the region, learning new techniques and implementing things that improve our production. Nowadays we belong to the ASOCIATION VALLEINCA where I obtain the support and advisory needed to keep improving the quality of our coffee.
Last year we were CUP OF EXCELLENCE winners in the position 19, what represented a reward to all the effort and dedication we put in every single cherry of coffee, and it also gave us a more competitive advantage in the market increasing our margin and quality of life.
