The farm is SANTA MARIA and is located at the populated center of LA CASCARILLA, province of JAEN, region of CAJAMARCA, the coffee is harvested at 2000msl and from 2005 we are growing CATURRA AMARILLA, BOURBON and TYPICA, the plants are surrounded by fruit trees such as guavas, oranges, and some other wood trees, this gives shadow and enrich the ground with lots of organic components. My main goal is to provide a good quality specialty coffee to our customers.
I am a second generation of my family cultivating coffee, so I feel as a natural born passionate for coffee, especially because when I was a child I helped my parents while they worked the land and harvest this allowed me to dedicate a more intense care to my coffee trees from the moment I plant it to the final product. Nowadays I belong to an association of coffee farmers named AROMAS DEL VALLE where we focus on producing organic quality coffee. This great effort we put on our coffee made us take the decision to participate this year in CUP OF EXCELLENCE.
