Ato Keshaun Jembo Kurso lives in Gedeo zone, Yirgachefe woreda, Wogida kebele, Debi Ameno village, SNNPR. He started coffee farming in 2010, and currently produces up to 13,000 kilograms of Kurumi coffee on his 3.23 hectares of land, which is processed into dry natural coffee. Two years ago he started directly exporting his coffee by collaborating with exporters in Addis Ababa.
This year, Ato Keshaun’s coffee scored 87.36, landing him on the 25th spot. “I know the importance of being one of the Cup of Excellence competition winners. This will introduce me to a new global market,’’ said Ato Keshaun.
