18-22 jury members and up to 4 observers will be selected for each country

What are the qualities of a CoE international jury member?

quality-driven coffee professional with extensive cupping experience
desire to build cross-cultural friendships with fellow jury members as well as coffee producers
priority given to CoE members, experienced jury members and active supporters

As a CoE international jury member:

together with other jury members, you are responsible for selecting Cup of Excellence award-winning coffees
you are responsible for transportation costs to and from producing country
producing country provides your hotel, food and in-country transportation costs related to the event.
you agree to follow CoE rules and protocol for competition week

As a CoE observer:

you participate in cupping and discussion alongside the international jury for personal education and training
you are responsible for all costs: travel, hotel and in-country expenses
you agree to follow CoE rules and protocol for competition week
